David Clements

David W. Clements, a freelance photographer, moved south from the East Coast in 1980 after having spent much of his life in Annapolis, MD, Boston, MA, Virginia Beach, VA, Brunswick, ME, and Providence, RI. He now calls Montgomery, TX, and the shores of Lake Conroe, just north of Houston, his home.

Photography is in his genes as his father, Warren “Clem” Clements, a U.S. Navy veteran, has been a passionate, life long amateur photographer. He was instrumental in inspiring Dave to start DWC Photography.

Dave has never been one to do anything halfway. He is an avid golfer, marathon runner, and music aficionado. His muse is his beautiful wife, Cathi. With his daughter, a first chair violinist and pianist, good friend Kevin Black, a singer/song writer, youngest son, song writer and front man for his own band, and oldest son’s innovative business ventures, Dave stays involved in break-through music and cutting edge trends. Dave is also assisting with the planning of a book cover design for his brother, Alan, an author and lecturer.

Dave has a bachelor’s degree in advertising and mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has also studied with the staff at the New York Institute of Photography and has more than 32 years experience in the business world in Human Resources and Marketing Management.

Dave’s work has been published across Texas, as well as nationally, in PhotoWorld, Edgar Literary, and Shutterbug magazines. Besides fine art photography, Dave shoots weddings in the Greater Houston/Conroe area as well as ‘destination weddings’ both nationally and internationally. Dave’s commercial clients have included the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, The Greater Lake Conroe Visitors Bureau, The Texas Association of Fairs and Events, Kevin Black Music, EV1.net Houston Football Bowl, and KSTAR Country Radio.

Dave has a special offer to all ‘starving artists’ who can’t afford to pay for promotional photos by a professional photographer. He will shoot the photos for no charge now, if they agree to pay for the images after they become ‘rich and famous’. He has already had several artists take him up on his offer and more are sure to come!
